A RFID point is where the aerial is placed, and can pick up data from the tag on the rolling stock or car.
Read distance is the distance between the aerial and the tag, in a vertical direction, and measured in millimetres. This will normally comprise of the sum of the baseboard thickness, the track bed thickness, the height from the bottom of the sleepers to the rail running surface, and the distance from the wheel rim to the tag on the rolling stock.
